Virender Sehwag, a former India opener, praised Gujarat Titans (GT) all-rounder Rahul Tewatia for batting prowess in the current Indian Premier League (IPL 2022).
He emphasized how the left-hander has once again contributed with a game-winning hit this season.

At the IPL 2022 auction, the Gujarat-based franchise purchased the fiery batsman for a hefty 9 crore.
According to Sehwag, “After David Miller’s dismissal, Rahul Tewatia had the burden of seeing them through, which he did. Even more so than Rashid, he made a significant contribution.”

“Rashid had to score a lot more runs if he had also gotten after early, which would have been difficult for him. With many outstanding performances, he has justified his expensive price tag.”
Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan both impressed RP Singh:
RP Singh emphasized how the Hardik Pandya-led team has triumphed in close games on multiple occasions. He believes that these are encouraging signals that they would be able to consistently win such games.
Several of their players, according to Singh, have stepped up in critical times to help their team win.

He went on to say that whereas Tewatia had won them the game against Punjab Kings with his last-over efforts, this time it was Rashid Khan who pulled off the unthinkable.
He elaborated:
“Last time, Rahul Tewatia won the match by hitting two sixes in two balls. This time, Rashid Khan followed him, and the two of them struck four sixes to reach the finish line. They always seem to come back and win close games. Teams must now look to offer their best bowler the 20th over.”
Gujarat Titans effectively chased down 196, courtesy of Wriddhiman Saha’s scorching 68 and brilliant late-inning contributions from Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan.
