IPL 2022: Whenever You Go To Him, He Is There To Help - Yash Dayal On Performing Under Hardik Pandya's Leadership

Yash Dayal lauded Hardik Pandya for always being ready to aid him during his time with the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL 2022.

Dayal was an integral part of the Titans’ title-winning season in the Indian Premier League, which just ended. The left-arm bowler, who was injured for the opening few games, took 11 wickets in his nine appearances in the competition.

During an interview with India News, Dayal was questioned about how Hardik prepared him for IPL 2022.

He replied: “Hardik Pandya is a bowler’s skipper, incredibly interesting and composed.” Whenever you approach him, he is eager to assist, and his captaincy reflects this.”

The GT pacer went on to say that Hardik put his knowledge playing under MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli to excellent use.

Yash Dayal elaborated: “He does have years of knowledge, having played under Mahi bhaiya (MS Dhoni) and Virat Kohli, from whom he has learned a lot. He is an excellent skipper. Off the field, he is a very true friend with friendly behavior that is very distinct from what he is on the screen, and he is exceedingly chilled out.”

Yash Dayal also emphasized Hardik’s and the coaching staff’s belief in him, including Ashish Nehra.

Yash Dayal expanded “The faith of a skipper is crucial. The conversation between you, the captain, and management should be crystal clear. Before each game, I would sit down with coach sir and Hardik bhaiya to discuss how we could best prepare.”

Gujarat Titans won the IPL 2022 final in Ahmedabad on Sunday, defeating Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets.
