Ashwin went on to play for Rising Pune Supergiants, Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Capitals in the IPL. He was a part of the 2020 Delhi side that made the final. Overall, in the IPL,

Ashwin has been one of the most successful bowlers. 167 match-long career in the Indian Premier League, he has scalped a total of 145 wickets at an economical 6.91. Ashwin and MS Dhoni playing together is very much a possibility in this IPL season.

Karthik has been one of the few Tamil Nadu players who has not played for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL yet. He has time and again expressed his desire to play for his stateside. However, that has not been the case in the IPL for over 14 seasons now. He has played for as many as six franchises but is yet to play for CSK. Maybe this is the year for him.

It was Shahrukh Khan’s heroics that helped Tamil Nadu beat Karnataka in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy 2021 final. With MS Dhoni being a part of the auction process this time around, he might pick him in for CSK. Given his reputation as a big-hitter, he can be a long-term investment for the side and someone who can lead the side in the future as well. There were reports that Khan might be named in the Indian T20I squad that was announced for the series against West Indies at home but that was not the case.

Hari was picked up by Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2021 mega auction but was not given a game. This time around, he has played a crucial role in helping Tamil Nadu win the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. He scored 246 runs for his stateside with a strike rate of 124.84. He can be a good backup as an opener. A regular in the Tamil Nadu T20 side for the last three years, Hari Nishaant has scored 446 in his 16 matches in the previous season.

He has risen up the ranks since making his international debut in 2017. He made his Test debut against Australia down under and proved to be a utility cricketer for India. RCB released him ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auctions after buying him for 3.2 crores in IPL 2018.
