The 30-year-old batsman in a video shared by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on their official Twitter handle said that he is super excited and delighted to be part of the Chennai Super Kings squad. He added that he is looking forward to creating some great memories in the IPL and winning some matches for the MS Dhoni-led side. He elaborated:

Chennai Super Kings bought back the likes of Dwayne Bravo, Ambati Rayudu, Robin Uthappa, and Deepak Chahar at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction. The most expensive buy of the Chennai Super Kings in the auction was bowling all-rounder Deepak Chahar.

Notably, they were engaged in an intense bidding war with the teams like Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Rajasthan Royals. In the end, they were successful in bringing Deepak Chahar to the squad for INR 14 crore.
