Dale Steyn takes the 5th spot on this list. In IPL 2012, the former South Africa pacer bowled a total of 18 dot balls in a match while playing for Deccan Chargers. The right-arm pacer bowled 4 overs in the match and conceded just 8 runs in his spell.

He also scalped 3 wickets against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the match. Deccan Chargers also managed to win the match by 19 runs, after defending their 1st innings total of 132-7.

Dwayne Smith gets the 4th spot on this list with 18 dot balls in a match in IPL 2016. The West Indies player was part of the Gujarat Lions in the match. Bowling against Kolkata Knight Riders, Smith bowled 18 dots balls in his 4 overs and conceded just 8 runs. Smith also picked 4 wickets in the match. KKR scored just 124-8 in 20 overs batting first. Later, Gujarat Lions won the match by 6 wickets.

3. Yuzvendra Chahal- 18

Yuzvendra Chahal grabs the 3rd spot on this list. In a match during IPL 2019, Chahal bowled 18 dot balls in his 4-over spell. Chahal was playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in a match against Chennai Super Kings.

It was a low-scoring tie. RCB batted first and was bowled out for just 70 runs. Later, CSK batted second and won the match by 7 wickets in the end. Since CSK batsmen batted at a low pace due to a small target, Chahal managed to bowl 18 dot balls in his 4 overs. He also picked 1 wicket.

Rajasthan Royals batted first in the match and posted 101-9 on the scoreboard in 20 overs. Later, Kolkata Knight Riders managed to clinch the victory by 4 wickets.

Deepak Chahar holds the record for most dot balls in a match in IPL. In the 2019 season, the CSK pacer bowled 20 dot balls in a match against Kolkata Knight Riders. In the match, Chahar bowled 4 overs and conceded 20 runs in his spell.

The right-arm pacer scalped 3 wickets in the match. Batting first, Kolkata Knight Riders scored 108-9 in the match. Later, Chennai Super Kings won the match by 7 wickets.
