Jason Holder Bought By Lucknow Super Giants For INR 8.75 Crores In IPL 2022 Mega Auction

West Indian all-rounder Jason Holder was bought by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for INR 8.75 crores in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction that is taking place in Bengaluru on Saturday.
Holder set his base price at INR 1.5 crores but it rocketed up quite quickly. Mumbai Indians (MI) began the bidding war with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) chiming in.
MI had their paddle raised up until the price hit INR 5 crores. Rajasthan Royals then swooped in and began bidding before Lucknow entered the fray. The two had an intense go before LSG’s final raise to INR 8.75 cr saw the Royals back out of the war.

Holder played for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) last season and was the only shining light in a poor campaign. He did the job most of the time with both bat and ball but seldom received support at the other end.
As expected, his price was escalating especially after a good outing in the recent ODI series against India. He is one of the top 3 all-rounders in the world and can provide the balance that a franchise needs.
