Kolkata Knight Riders
Andre Russell came to the party for KKR in their match against The Kings, He scored 70 off 31 balls to take KKR over the line chasing 138 to win after they were 51/4 at one stage. Though Russell has hit back form, KKR’s top-order and middle-order remain a concern. Venkatesh Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane after giving a good start in the first game were dismissed early in the next two.
Nitish Rana also has not found form in the season so far. Thanks to their spin twins and the experience of Umesh Yadav and Tim Southee their bowling has looked good so far. With Pat Cummins available for selection against Mumbai Indians, it will be interesting to see who goes out from KKR’s playing XI.
