Chennai Super Kings (CSK) left-arm pacer Mukesh Choudhary dismissed Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma in the 33rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai, on Thursday, April 21.

Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan opened the innings for MI and Mukesh opened the bowling for Chennai Super Kings in the high-profile match. Rohit, who is often seen struggling against the left-arm pacers, defended the first ball of the over very well, which was an inswinging yorker.

However, on the second ball, Rohit Sharma lost his wicket for a 2-ball duck. Mukesh bowled a length ball that had a bit of inswing and Mumbai Indians captain Rohit was leaning forward to push but was unable to keep the ball down as the ball hit the inner half of the bat and lobbed to mid-on. Mitchell Santner, who was at mid-on grabbed a very simple catch to dismiss Mumbai Indians’ captain.

Also, Mukesh castled Ishan Kishan for a golden duck on the 5th ball of the first over of the match.

Earlier, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won the toss and opted to bowl first in the El Classico of the Indian Premier League (IPL). CSK made two big changes as Dwaine Pretorius and Mitchell Santner replaced Chris Jordan and Moeen Ali.

On the other hand, Australian pacer Riley Meredith and Indian off-spinner Hrithik Shokeen made their debut for Mumbai Indians. Also, Daniel Sams was back in the MI playing XI. Mumbai Indians dropped Fabian Allen, Tymal Mills, and Murugan Ashwin from the team.
