Jasprit Bumrah hasn’t had the best of IPLs but in the last phase of the league, he was back to his best.

He took a fifer in the last phase of the league and was declared the Player of the match in a losing cause. If that 5 wicket haul came in a losing cause, his 3 wicket haul against Delhi Capitals on Saturday came in the winning cause.

We Analysed The Conditions Early: Jasprit Bumrah

His performance helped MI knock DC out of IPL 2022.

He took 3-25 in his 4 overs and helped MI restrict DC to 159 runs.

It was an important game for DC as they had to win the game at any cost to qualifying for the playoffs. But Jasprit Bumrah rocked them early with the wickets of Mitchell Marsh and Prithvi Shaw.

In the end overs, he returned and got the wicket of Rovman Powell who was going at a great pace. His wicket helped MI pull things back at the end overs.

Jasprit Bumrah after the game said, “Nothing special, just tried to have fun, and enjoyed my game. Very happy with how the last game went. The wicket is quite fast here, there’s pace and bounce. But this was slow, and the bounce was low. There wasn’t much swing, so we assessed the conditions and tried to execute our plans. Whenever you are new to the game, so you need to learn a lot.”

When asked about how he helps the youngsters he said, “I try to help the youngsters as much as I can. We tried to help them as much as we can so that it was a good atmosphere (in the dressing room). Improving your game is a yearly process, it doesn’t stop. We need to analyse next year and come back strong. I was very happy with my rhythm, was happy with the execution. After the ball is released from my hand, I can’t do much.

Jasprit Bumrah ended the season with 15 wickets.
