Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has some advice for Mumbai Indians who will face Delhi Capitals in their last league game of IPL 2022. The franchise is placed last on the points table with 10 losses so far in IPL 2022. They would like to end their campaign on a high by beating Delhi in their last game.

Aakash Chopra has urged the Mumbai management to give Arjun Tendulkar a game against DC. He is included in the list of players Mumbai are yet to give a game in the series. Arjun joined the MI camp for 20 lakhs in IPL 2021. He was rebought in the IPL 2022 mega auction for 30 lakhs. Despite practicing hard in the nets, he is yet to make his debut for the franchise.

“Arjun must play the last game of the season. Mumbai has given opportunities to almost everyone in the squad…about time you try him out too” said Chopra via a tweet.

Apart from Arjun Tendulkar, Aryan Juyal, Akash Madwal Rahul Buddhi are yet to get a game this season. With the franchise already out of the competition, these players can well be given a game against Delhi.

“Well, I think everyone in the squad is an option. We will see how things go. It is about match-ups and how we can win the matches and our priority is to make sure that we get the right match-ups.”

“Every game is a confidence thing, we managed to get our first win and it is about stringing wins together and getting the confidence back. It is about putting the best guys in the park. If Arjun is one of them, then we will consider it, yes, but it all depends on the combination that we put out.”

The likes of Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah are expected to be rested from the upcoming T20 series against South Africa after the conclusion of IPL 2022.

They will be back into the Indian team for the series against England in July. The series will start with the pending fifth Test which was postponed last year due to covid.
