Against Gujarat Titans, he scored 35 off 30 before he squandered another good start in this IPL campaign. Punjab would ideally want him to be consistent throughout the tournament.

Jonny Bairstow

Bairstow will be best used by Punjab Kings at the top of the order. Thus it would be ideal if he opens the batting with Dhawan and Agarwal moves o number three. It would also allow the skipper to play more freely and with less pressure.

Mayank Agarwal

As said earlier, Mayank Agarwal can slot himself to number three. This will allow him to build on a good start given by the openers. He has been dismissed way earlier far too many times in the season so far.

The power-hitter has been the best Punjab batsman so far in the IPL. He has already notched up two fifties and has taken the attack to the opposition in the matches that he has played.
