Star South Africa National Cricket Team pacer Kagiso Rabada, who is part of Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, has surpassed legendary Proteas pacer, Dale Steyn, to achieve a sensational milestone in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Kagiso Rabada has now become the highest South African wicket-taker in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as he surpassed legendary pacer Dale Steyn, who had picked 97 wickets in the cash-rich league.

The right-arm pacer achieved this milestone in the 64th match of the Indian Premier League 2022 that was played between Mayank Agarwal-led Punjab Kings and Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai on Monday.

Notably, Rabada’s team, PBKS, lost the match by 17 runs against Delhi Capitals (DC) and now there are only slight chances of Punjab Kings making it to the playoffs of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

Proteas fast bowling legend Dale Steyn played 95 games in the Indian Premier League and bagged 97 wickets at an economy of 6.91 and an average of 25.9.

Meanwhile, Rabada dismissed star Delhi Capitals (DC) all-rounder Mitchell Marsh in the IPL 2022 match to reach the 98 wickets tally. Notably, Marsh was a big threat for Punjab Kings as he smashed 64 runs off 48 balls.

The 26-year-old Rabada has so far, bagged 22 wickets in the Indian Premier League 2022 in just 12 games and is the third-highest wicket-taker in the ongoing edition of the league.

Overall, Rabada has bagged 98 wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in just 62 games at an average of 19.67 and an economy of 8.24.
