Lucknow Super Giants Innings Stalled By Fall Of Quick Wickets In The Middle Overs
Earlier in the day Mayank Agarwal won the toss and chose to field. Punjab Kings went in the game with the same XI while Lucknow Super Giants included Avesh Khan in place of Manish Pandey.
LSG did not have a great start as they lost KL Rahul early to Kagiso Rabada.
But then Quinton de Kock and Deepak Hooda had a brilliant 85 run partnership. de Kock got out in the 12th over in trying to play a cut shot against Sandeep Sharma. In fact, he walked off as the umpire gave him not out.
Then in the very over, Krunal Pandya pulled Arshdeep Singh’s ball towards the square leg, Deepak Hooda thought it was an easy two as he was taking it easy but he was caught napping as Jonny was quick to pick up the ball and throw it towards the non-striker’s end. Luckily for him, it was a direct hit and Hooda was caught short of his crease as he tried to make it to the crease.
LSG were 104-3 when in the 14th over when Hooda got out.
