IPL 2022: Punjab Kings Unveil Their Jersey For The 15th Edition Of The Tournament

On Thursday, March 17, Punjab Kings (PBKS) unveiled their new jersey for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, which will be the 15th edition of the marquee T20 tournament.

The 10-team Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 tournament is all set to begin from March 26 and all the games of the league stage will be played in Maharashtra across 4 different venues including Wankhede Stadium, Dy Patil Stadium, Brabourne Stadium and Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium.

20 matches each will be played at the Wankhede Stadium and the Dy Patil Stadium while 15 games each will be played at the Brabourne Stadium and the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium.

Meanwhile, Punjab Kings, which were established in 2008 as the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), have not made any huge changes in the colour or design of their new jersey for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 and they have retained their red and golden colour.

Punjab Kings, which is jointly owned by Mohit Burman, Ness Wadia, Preity Zinta and Karan Paul, have never won an Indian Premier League (IPL) championship. The best performance of the Punjab team came in the year 2014 when they finished as runners-up. Other than 2014 they have qualified for playoffs only once, which was in the inaugural edition of the tournament.

Meanwhile, under the leadership of Mayank Agarwal in the 15th edition of IPL, Punjab Kings will be looking forward to winning their maiden IPL title. At the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction Punjab Kings did a great job by acquiring the services of star players like Shikhar Dhawan, Jonny Bairstow, Kagiso Rabada, Rahul Chahar and Liam Livingstone.
