Raj Angad Bawa Bought By Punjab Kings For INR 2 Crores In The IPL 2022 Mega Auction

Indian U-19 seam-bowling all-rounder Raj Angad Bawa bagged his first IPL contract after being signed by Punjab Kings (PBKS) for INR 2 crores in the IPL 2022 mega auction.
Bawa performed brilliantly in the recently concluded U-19 ODI World Cup, including a five-wicket haul in the final against England for which he won the Player of the Match award.

In addition, he has also shown capability with the ball and could well be groomed into a potential all-rounder in the future. PBKS began the bidding and were contested by Mumbai Indians (MI).
The price rose from the base price of INR 20 lakhs and breached the INR 1 crore mark. MI is known to work wonders with the youngsters and they had set their eyes on Bawa.

Unfortunately for them, PBKS continued to outbid and ended up winning the duel, with the winning bid being INR 2 crores. The franchise continues to sign all-rounders in a bid to bring balance to the squad.
