RCB vs GT: I Rate Him Highly Because He Is A Dangerous Player – Sachin Tendulkar Hails “Underrated” Wriddhiman Saha

Legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar lavished praise on “underrated” Gujarat Titans (GT) wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha and said that he is a dangerous batter and can play shots everywhere against pacers and spinners.

Saha has had a brilliant run with the bat in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 since getting an opportunity to open the innings for the Hardik Pandya-led side. The wicketkeeper-batsman has so far scored 312 runs in 9 games at an average of 39.00 and a strike rate of 124.80.

While talking about Saha’s performance in the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday, Tendulkar said that his flow was affected because he was not getting much strike.

“Wriddhiman Saha is an underrated player. I rate him highly because he is a dangerous player. Can play shots everywhere against spinners and fast bowlers, but initially, his flow was affected because he couldn’t get much strike. When a batter is playing well, it is important for him to take more strike, but he didn’t get it as much as he would have liked to,” Tendulkar said.

Notably, Saha got run out after scoring 31 runs in the match against Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore, where GT lost the game by 8 wickets.

Australia wicketkeeper-batsman Matthew Wade was controversially declared out LBW by the third umpire in the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. As it seemed like he had hit the ball but UltraEdge couldn’t detect the edge. Tendulkar gave his opinions on Wade’s dismissal and said that the GT batter was unfortunate.

“For a while, it felt as if Wade and Saha would do something but Wade I feel was unfortunate. He received a bad decision according to me. There was a clear deflection,” added Tendulkar.
