Virat Kohli is having a wretched time in IPL 2022 thus far. After bagging a couple of golden ducks, he was dismissed for nine against Rajasthan Royals. His battle to regain his form this season is seeing him fail time and time again. Cricket experts feel that Kohli is guilty of going hard too early in his innings.

RCB head coach Sanjay Bangar is hopeful of Virat Kohli coming back into form sooner. Speaking to Cricbuzz, Bangar said that Kohli has enured these hard phases in the past and has come out of them with ease. He is hopeful that Kohli will help them win crucial games in the remaining season.

“Regarding Kohli’s form, he’s a great cricketer. He’s experienced these highs and lows many times before. I’ve observed him from close quarters. He has the spirit and he’ll emerge from this run of low scores in the last few games. In the coming crucial games, he’ll help us win,” said Bangar as quoted by Cricbuzz.

Bangar further said that Virat Kohli is practicing with the same intensity at every session and is working hard on his game. He said that Virat’s attitude towards the game is commendable.

“We aren’t talking about anything different [in practice], to be honest. The way he prepares, he always puts himself out of his comfort zone and prepares and that’s his specialty. This is why he can emerge from tough situations and his attitude is commendable. Yes, he’s had a low run of scores but he is so mentally strong, he’ll be able to put in better performance,” he added.

Virat Kohli has scored 128 runs from nine games so far in IPL 2022. This includes two first-ball ducks as well. Kohli was dismissed by Prasidh Krishna as he decided to take on the Rajasthan Royals pacer as the ball took the toe end of Kohli’sbat for Riyan Parag to complete an easy catch.

RCB are placed fifth on the points table after their recent loss to the Royals. They are on 10 points from nine games and need to win their remaining five games to give themselves the best chance of making it to the playoffs.
