RCB vs RR: Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal Near Their Respective Milestones In IPL Against Royal Challengers Bangalore

IPL 2022: Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal are two of the greatest spinners to have played in the IPL. Both of them are legends in their own rights in the cash-rich league.

It was therefore no surprise when Rajasthan Royals bid for them in the mega auctions and got both their services at a good price.

They both have been a force to reckon with this season as they have formed a lethal partnership together. They are one of the major reasons why the Inaugural champions are sitting nicely on the points table at this stage of the tournament.

The Milestones They Are Nearing!

While Ashwin spent his initial years in the IPL with Chennai Super Kings and did well, Chahal’s best years came with Royal Challengers Bangalore. Both the players always did well whichever side they represented.

It’s because of that reason that Ashwin now sits at 149 wickets in the tournament and is just 1 wicket away from reaching the milestone of 150 wickets. Only 8 other bowlers in the tournament have achieved this feat in the tournament before him, including 6 Indians. He would be looking to get to this milestone against RCB.

Yuzvendra Chahal on the other hand already has more than 150 wickets in the tournament. He has 157 wickets in the league and is now just one wicket away to become the 2nd leading wicket-taker (spinner). He will surpass Piyush Chawla and the only player who would remain ahead of him would be Amit Mishra, who also has three hat tricks in the tournament.

Chahal is currently leading the wicket charts with 18 wickets, he would like to continue the same form.
