Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Moeen Ali put on a batting masterclass at the Brabourne stadium in CSK’s last league of the IPL 2022 season against the Rajasthan Royals (RR).

MS Dhoni won the toss, opted to bat first, and also confirmed that he will be leading the franchise in the next year as well. Expectedly, the fans were elated and their joy knew no bounds when Moeen unleashed carnage.

Coming in early after the fall of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Moeen smashed 18 off Prasidh Krishna’s over to get going. He continued piling on the runs, taking on Ravichandran Ashwin to race away to 33.

However, he saved his best for Trent Boult. The Englishman took on Boult and hit six and five boundaries in the final over of the powerplay, helping CSK put up 75 on the board during the field restrictions.

Each stroke happened to be better than the last and Moeen reached his 50 in just 19 balls. CSK aims to end the season on a high and Moeen is making sure the team will be able to do so.
