RR vs RCB: There Will Be Some Banter Before Game Begins - Harshal Patel Ahead Of Meeting Yuzvendra Chahal In Tonight's Clash

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bowler Harshal Patel said that seeing Yuzvendra Chahal in a jersey other than RCB’s will be strange but at the end of the day, everybody is a professional playing at the highest level of the game.

Chahal was bought by Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the IPL 2022 mega auction and he has been impressive playing for them in the first two games. He missed out on a potential hat trick but was still instrumental in helping his side register wins in both the matches.

Going into the clash against RCB, his former franchise, Chahal will be keen to show what the Bangalore team is missing out on. Speaking about the same on RCB’s Match Day program, Harshal stated:

“It is a little strange, but once you step out on the field, we are all professionals, and we keep the friendship outside the field. There is going to be some banter before the game begins, but once we get into the field, it is all about the game.”

In the previous game against KKR, Harshal bowled back-to-back maiden overs, only the second bowler to do so in the IPL after Mohammed Siraj. When asked about the same, Harshal said he was unaware.

“I did not realise it at that time, bowling back-to-back maidens in a T20, let alone the IPL is a big deal. Great to have that under my belt,” he added.
