Shivam Mavi Bought By Kolkata Knight Riders For INR 7.25 Crore In IPL 2022 Mega Auction

Young Indian pace bowler Shivam Mavi was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction on day one of the two-day event, which is being held at the Hotel ITC Gardenia in Bengaluru.
Shivam Mavi was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders after the U-19 World Cup in 2018 and he made his debut for KKR in the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Also, he had spent the last three years with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise.

Overall, he has played 26 Indian Premier League (IPL) games and has bagged 25 wickets at an economy of 8.29 and an average of 28.6.
Meanwhile, speedster Shivam Mavi had set INR 40 lakh as his base price for the Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction. Kolkata Knight Riders were interested in bringing him back to the squad so they made the opening bid for the pace bowler. Royal Challengers Bangalore also wanted Shivam Mavi and they were engaged in the bidding war with Kolkata Knight Riders.
However, Kolkata Knight Riders won the battle against all the teams to acquire the services of the young pacer for the Indian Premier League 2022.
Shivam Mavi will be joining the likes of Pat Cummins, Shreyas Iyer, Varun Chakravarthy, Venkatesh Iyer and Andre Russell in KKR.
