In the 54th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Kane Williamson’s Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) locked horns with Faf du Plessis’ Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Sunday, May 8 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Royal Challengers Bangalore won the match by 67 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad to win their 7th game of the Indian Premier League 2022.

Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and opted to bat and they made no changes to the playing XI in the match. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad made two changes to the playing XI as Fazalhaq Farooqi and Jagadeesha Suchith replaced Sean Abbott and Shreyas Gopal in the team.

Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli opened the innings for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Jagadeesha Suchith opened the attack for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and the SRH spinner was able to dismiss Kohli on the first ball of the match.

After that, Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell joined Faf du Plessis on the crease and at the end of the 14th over Royal Challengers Bangalore were at 118/2.

Glenn Maxwell got out on the second ball of the 19th over after scoring 33 runs off 24 balls, including 3 fours and 2 sixes, which led to finisher Dinesh Karthik’s arrival at the crease.
