Yash Dhull Bought By Delhi Capitals For INR 50 Lakhs In The IPL 2022 Mega Auction
India’s U-19 World Cup-winning captain Yash Dhull bagged his first IPL contract with the Delhi Capitals who bought him for INR 50 lakh in the ongoing IPL 2022 mega auction
Dhull made a mark in the 2022 U-19 World Cup, showing his tremendous potential with the bat. He scored a match-winning hundred in the semifinal of the tournament and also led the way from the front.
He is set to make his debut in the Ranji Trophy this season for Delhi and in the same time frame, he will likely represent DC as well in the IPL.
Punjab Kings (PBKS) gave them a fight initially before backing out once the bid hit INR 50 lakh. Dhull had already revealed that he intends to play for the senior national team within 18 months and this would be the perfect start.
“That is my target but If I am not able to do that in the 18-month time frame, I will keep working hard till I attain my goal,” Dhull had stated. The IPL is the perfect exposure that young players like Dhull need and he will hope to make the most of it.
