T20 legend Chris Gayle, who is popularly known as Universe Boss, has hinted at his comeback in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, which will be the 16th edition of the tournament.

The 42-year-old Christopher Henry Gayle last played international cricket for West Indies National Cricket Team in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 against Australia in Abu Dhabi. Also, he last played T20 cricket in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2022 on February 18.

Meanwhile, Gayle, who is unarguably one of the greatest IPL batsmen of all time, has played for three teams in the cash-rich league including the likes of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS).

Notably, the Universe Boss didn’t register himself for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction, as a result, he is not participating in the ongoing T20 league. However, it looks like the 42-year-old is planning to make a comeback in the Indian Premier League (IPL) next year.
