CSK vs KKR- Prediction, Who Will Win The Match Between Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders? IPL 2021 Match 38. Chennai Super Kings will lock horns with Kolkata Knight Riders in the 38th match of IPL 2021 on Sunday. Both sides have started their UAE campaign on a positive note and would want to continue in the same fashion.

Chennai Super Kings have won both the games they have played in UAE thus far. They secured a 20-run win over Mumbai Indians, before beating RCB by 6 wickets on Friday.

On a batting paradise in Sharjah, Chennai Super Kings did a commendable job to restrict RCB to just 156. They went for plenty in the first half of the innings, however, CSK made a great turnaround in the latter half, thanks to exceptional bowling from Dwayne Bravo and Shardul Thakur. Dwayne Bravo picked three wickets for 24 runs, while Thakur claimed 2 for 29. Deepak Chahar, who was expensive in the powerplay came back quite well at the death.

Ruturaj Gaekwad, once again, shone brightly with the bat, giving CSK just the start they were looking for. He scored 38 runs off 26 balls, while Faf du Plessis scored 31 off 26 balls. Moeen Ali and Ambati Rayudu stitched a 47-run partnership for the third wicket to help CSK further in the run-chase. In the end, MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina guided the team home comfortably in 18.1 overs. It was a collective effort from the team and it helped them get two points and reach the top of the table. CSK would be confident of winning their game against KKR on Sunday as well.

Given the kind of form Kolkata Knight Riders are in, it isn’t going to be easy for CSK to beat them. They have found a true gem in Venkatesh Iyer. Kolkata Knight Riders won their last two games and Iyer played a pivotal role with the bat in both games.

The bowlers have been doing a pretty good job. KKR bundled out RCB for just 92 runs in their first game of the second leg, before restricting MI to 156 runs in the second game. Lockie Ferguson and Prasidh Krishna both have picked wickets consistently and put their team on top. Russell picked three against RCB but was expensive in the last game.

However, the biggest positive for them has been the runs coming from the new opening pair in Shubman Gill and Venkatesh Iyer. The duo has given great starts at the top of the order. KKR is playing a fearless brand of cricket and it has worked for them so far. Rahul Tripathi played a brilliant knock of 74 runs off 42 balls in the last game, to help his side chase down 155 with ease against MI.

The top three batsmen are in great touch and this should make KKR feel a lot more optimistic. Kolkata Knight Riders are currently sitting at fourth position on the points table with 4 wins in 9 matches. Another win on Sunday could help them reach number three.
