DC vs CSK: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Predicted Playing XI Against Delhi Capitals (DC)- IPL 2021 Match 50. Chennai Super Kings lost their last game against Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets. Despite that, they are still sitting at the top of the table with 9 wins in 12 matches. CSK, though, can’t afford to lose a game in their remaining two encounters if they want to finish in the top two.

CSK began their IPL 2021 campaign with a defeat at the hands of the Delhi Capitals. They will be playing against DC for the second time this season on Monday and would be keen to take revenge and also maintain the top position on the table. Ahead of a highly anticipated encounter, here’s a look at our CSK’s predicted playing XI vs DC.

DC vs CSK: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Predicted Playing XI Against Delhi Capitals (DC)- IPL 2021 Match 50

Openers: Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis

Both Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis are in brilliant form with the bat which keeps CSK’s batting line-up in good stead. The duo has been providing solid starts consistently and the fans would be hoping that they give CSK another solid start on Monday. Gaikwad scored his maiden century off just 60 balls in the last game against RR, while Faf du Plessis contributed 25 runs off 19 balls.

Middle Overs: Moeen Ali, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni

Moeen Ali should be persisted at number three position. His valuable cameos have helped CSK capitalize on the starts given by the openers. Ali scored 21 runs off 17 balls against RR in the last game.

Ambati Rayudu went back to the hut early while trying to hit a six. CSK, though, shouldn’t be too worried as he has been in brilliant form with the bat. The biggest worry for them is Suresh Raina’s poor form. He was promoted in the last game to get some game time. The southpaw didn’t make the most of it as he got out for just 3 runs. It will be interesting to see where Dhoni bats in the next game. He didn’t get to bat in the last game against RR.

All-rounders: Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo

Ravindra Jadeja was promoted ahead of MS Dhoni in the last game against Rajasthan Royals. He played some jaw-dropping shots during his 15-ball 32-run unbeaten knock. His valuable cameo helped them reach a par score in the first innings. He bowled one over and conceded 9 runs.

Dwayne Bravo was rested in the last game with Sam Curran replacing him. However, given how CSK bowled on Monday, Dwayne Bravo is surely going to be back into the side. He has been in good form and is currently the leading wicket-taker for CSK.

Bowlers: Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur, Josh Hazlewood

Deepak Chahar too was given rest in the last game against RR. Ahead of a big game against DC, the Indian seamer is likely to back into the playing XI. He should open the spell for CSK in the powerplay. Hazlewood was taken to the cleaners by the likes of Jaiswal, Lewis and Shivam Dube. He finished with figures of 54 for 0 in 4 overs.

He might get replaced by Lungi Ngidi in the next game, though, chances aren’t too high. Shardul Thakur was the only bowler, who looked good against Rajasthan Royals. He finished his figures with 2 for 30 in 4 overs.
