Shikhar Dhawan looked in prolific touch in the previous game against Sunrisers Hyderabad and he provided the best start possible for the Delhi Capitals. The left-hander leads the chart for the orange cap and he is pushing his case for the T20 Worldcup as well. Dhawan made 42 off 37 in no time in the previous game and hit six fours along with a six as well.

Dhawan will be playing in the heat as well and hence, he will be looking to play the anchor role. He scored two centuries last year in UAE consecutively and he would be used to the conditions really well. He will be itching to get out there in the batting crease and he can certainly win the man of the match award.

Rishabh Pant:

Rishabh Pant remained the skipper of the Delhi Capitals despite Shreyas Iyer recovering from his shoulder injury and it added to his confidence really well. Sunrisers were looking to put pressure on the Delhi batting side when Pant stepped into the crease and he made sure Delhi got over the line comfortably.

Pant finished the inning unbeaten on 35 off 21 balls and he hit 3 fours and 2 sixes in the quickfire knock. He was very positive from the word go and will be looking to continue his assault in the game against the Royals as well. He will be riding high on confidence after the knock against Sunrisers and will be looking to contribute.

The South African speedster Anrich Nortje who was a revelation in the previous IPL edition in UAE came to the party against the Sunrisers Hyderabad as well. Nortje who is known for his raw pace took the new ball and clock speeds over 150 Kmph in the first over of the innings. He also picked up the crucial wicket of David Warner.

He came in for his second spell as well and straightaway picked up Kedar Jadhav with some scintillating pace. He gave away just 12 runs in his spell and showed the hunger in him to perform. Delhi did not play him in the first half of the IPL 2021 and he has already made them regret it.
