RCB is sporting a blue jersey on the day to support frontline workers fighting against the Covid pandemic. The Bangalore franchise is known to engage in social activities, as seen before with the green jersey.

Virat Kohli playing his 200th match for the RCB team
The match is also skipper Virat Kohli’s 200th game for the Bangalore team. He is the first player to achieve the feat in the IPL for the same franchise over the years. Kohli was commemorated on the occasion. It will also be his last IPL as the skipper, having announced his decision to step down as the skipper on Sunday night.
“It has been a great and inspiring journey, captaining a talented bunch of players in the RCB squad. It wasn’t an easy decision but one that has been well thought of and in the best interest of this wonderful franchise.“
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the RCB management, coaches, support staff, players, and the entire RCB family, who have been instrumental in the growth of the franchise over the years,” Kohli had said.
RCB faces off against KKR in the 31st match of the IPL 2021 season on Monday.
