The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise announced on its official account that it will be donating to help the frontline workers every time the team scores a four, six, or picks a wicket against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Monday.

RCB is sporting a blue jersey on the day to support frontline workers fighting against the Covid pandemic. The Bangalore franchise is known to engage in social activities, as seen before with the green jersey.

The match is also skipper Virat Kohli’s 200th game for the Bangalore team. He is the first player to achieve the feat in the IPL for the same franchise over the years. Kohli was commemorated on the occasion. It will also be his last IPL as the skipper, having announced his decision to step down as the skipper on Sunday night.

It has been a great and inspiring journey, captaining a talented bunch of players in the RCB squad. It wasn’t an easy decision but one that has been well thought of and in the best interest of this wonderful franchise.
