The star Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has explained the real reason behind the team Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) having a poor run in the first phase of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.
Notably, Sunrisers Hyderabad was placed at bottom of the table as they lost 6 out of 7 games in the India leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. Also, there were a lot of things going on inside the team and David Warner was removed from captaincy.
Speaking to the host broadcaster in an interview before the Delhi Capitals (DC) vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) game at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Speedster Bhuvneshwar Kumar said that team failed to perform well as a unit in first half. He stated:
“If you look, in the first leg of the tournament, we didn’t even have a single perfect match as a team. There was not one match where all three departments of our team – batting, bowling and fielding – performed well together.
Further Bhuvneshwar Kumar added that they are working really hard and will make improvements in the second half of the league.
“We have been working hard in our nets sessions and will try to improve our record in the UAE leg. We are looking at this leg as a new start to the season.”
“It is a little challenging, especially after you come out of quarantine”: Bhuvneshwar Kumar
The Right-arm fast bowler was questioned about the challenges faced by a bowler after the quarantine ends to which Bhuvneshwar Kumar replied:
“It is a little challenging, especially after you come out of quarantine because when you are in quarantine, you cannot bowl properly for a week. You need to keep practising, and once you bowl a few deliveries, it becomes relatively easy,” Bhuvneshwar Kumar replied.
