The IPL 2020 finalists Delhi Capitals will be taking on Chennai Super Kings in a mouth-watering clash in the second game of this year’s IPL tonight at Mumbai. Delhi had an excellent season in the last year’s IPL and is due for their first IPL title. They have the resources to take the team forward in the upcoming edition too.

Delhi will be missing four of their quality players for the first game due to injuries and a pandemic situation. Shreyas Iyer is set to miss the entire IPL 2021 with a shoulder injury and Rishabh Pant has been named as the captain of the side. Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada are not available for the first game as they haven’t served their quarantine period yet while Axar has tested positive for viruses.

Prithvi Shaw has been in terrific form in the recent Vijay Hazare Trophy and broke a lot of records in the process. His aggressive approach will certainly suit the opening combination as Dhawan takes some time to get into the groove. Shaw had a poor season last year and was dropped after a string of low scores.

His form will be crucial to Delhi’s plans this year and also considering the fact that Shreyas Iyer won’t be available this year. He can take the game away from the opponents in a flash and can dominate the proceedings from the word go. He is one of those game-changers that the Delhi Capitals will rely heavily on today against CSK.
