Rajasthan Royals broke their purse to bag the most expensive player in the IPL auction history and have strengthened their bowling attack in the process. The IPL inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals have struggled to win a title for the last 12 years and this will be a big opportunity for them with their new bowling recruits.

They bought the likes of Chris Morris, Mustafizur Rahman, Chetan Sakariya, KC Cariappa, Liam Livingstone in the IPL auction and already have the services of a world-class bowler Jofra Archer in the team. They have a good young group of fast bowlers from the U19 squad.

5.Jaydev Unadkat

Jaydev Unadkat’s big price tag has taken a toll on his form in the IPL and was dropped from the squad last year owing to his poor performances. His excellent stint with the Rising Pune Supergiants in 2017 was a major turning point in his career and gave a comeback to the Indian T20 side.

His slower ones can be effective and his best season was in the 2017 IPL where he picked up 24 wickets in the 12 games he played. He will be aiming to better his performance with the T20 Worldcup coming up this year.

4. Andrew Tye

Andrew Tye has increased a yard of pace during the Big Bash League and has become much more lethal than before. He had a good start to his IPL career with the Gujarat Lions where he took a lot of wickets with his variations. He performed really well next year for the Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2018 and bagged the purple cap. His variations have become more effective with the increase in his pace and he can take a lot of wickets if he manages to play more games this year for the Rajasthan Royals.

3. Shreyas Gopal

Shreyas Gopal is one of the most underrated cricketers in India and the Karnataka all-rounder has certainly got the skills. He picked up a hattrick in the IPL 2019 and has dismissed some of the world’s best batsman including Virat Kohli and AB Devilliers with his googly more often.

The leg spinner is expected to play all the 14 games for the Rajasthan Royals and he picked up 20 wickets in 14 games in the 2019 IPL which was his best season so far.

2. Chris Morris

Chris Morris who turned out to be the costliest player in the IPL history for a whopping 16.25 crore will be in action for his old team Rajasthan Royals this year. His ability to take wickets consistently and hit the yorkers at will is a much-needed boost for any team.

He is expected to form a great partnership with the likes of Jofra Archer and could reduce the workload on Archer who has led the attack in the last two years. Morris has picked up 80 wickets in the 70 games he has played in his IPL career.

1.Jofra Archer

Jofra Archer is one of the best strike bowlers going around in the world in all formats and can hit the 150km/hr mark consistently. He was the best buy for Rajasthan Royals in the 2018 auction and has been the match-winner for their side ever since he has come into the team.

He has picked up 46 wickets in 35 games in his IPL career and is the leader of the pace attack. He will be partnered by Morris in the bowling setup and is one of the contenders to be the highest wicket-taker.
