Sunrisers Hyderabad will start their IPL journey with the first match against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 11, 2011. Sunrisers Hyderabad will be led by David Warner in IPL 2021. Last season in IPL 2020, the team earned the 3rd spot after losing the Qualifier 2 match to Delhi Capitals. After winning the trophy in IPL 2016, Sunrisers Hyderabad have made it to the playoffs in every subsequent season.

Ahead of IPL 2021 auction, Sunrisers Hyderabad released 5 players from the squad. There were Billy Stanlake, Sandeep Bavanaka, Fabian Allen, Sanjay Yadav, and Prithviraj Yarra. Kedar Jadhav was released by Chennai Super Kings and was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs. 2 crore during IPL 2021 auction. Kedar Jadhav has a lot of experience in IPL. The right-handed batsman Jadhav has been active in IPL since 2010. He has played 87 matches in IPL so far and scored 1141 runs with 4 half-centuries. Kedar Jadhav has played for teams like Delhi Capitals, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Chennai Super Kings in the past. He will play for Sunrisers Hyderabad for the first time in IPL 2021.

Mujeeb ur Rahman

Mujeeb ur Rahman is a young spinner from Afghanistan. He impressed with his performance in IPL 2018 when he scalped 14 wickets in 11 matches for Punjab Kings. He was bought for Rs. 1.5 crore during IPL 2021 auction. Rahman is very active in domestic T20 leagues like Bangladesh Premier League, Afghanistan Premier League, and Big Bash League. He has played 3 seasons for Punjab Kings and will make a debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2021.

Jason Roy

Jason Roy went unsold in IPL 2021 auction but Sunrisers Hyderabad picked him as a replacement for Mitchell Marsh. Jason Roy impressed everyone with his hard-hitting batting during the recent India vs England series. The English batsman Jason Roy played for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2017 and IPL 2018, in which he played 8 matches and scored 179 runs.

J Suchith

J Suchith played for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2015 where he took 10 wickets in 13 matches. He is a left-arm spinner and lower-order batsman. He played for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2019 where he played 1 match. So far, he has played 15 matches in IPL and accounts for 54 runs and 12 wickets in total. He was released by Punjab Kings ahead of IPL 2021 and Sunrisers Hyderabad bought him for Rs. 30 lakh in IPL 2021 auction.

Virat Singh

Virat Singh is a left-handed batsman whom Sunrisers Hyderabad bought for Rs. 1.9 crore during IPL 2020 auction. However, he did not play any match for the team in IPL 2020. He plays for Jharkhand at the domestic level and was the leading run-scorer for Jharkhand in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019-20. He is another player who might make a debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2021 auction.
