Ashish Nehra believes that if Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) wants a long-term captain then it has to be 21-year-old Devdutt Padikkal. Speaking to Cricbuzz Ashish Nehra stated:
“Devdutt Padikkal has the ability to lead the Royal Challengers Bangalore team effectively. If the team is looking for a player as the captain for a long time, then they will have to hand over the captaincy to Padikkal.”
Devdutt Padikkal made his IPL debut in 2020 and has been batting consistently for Virat Kohli and co. Padikkal has so far smashed 822 runs in 26 games in the IPL.
