IPL 2021 is all set to resume with defending champions Mumbai Indians taking on rivals Chennai Super Kings in the first game of the second leg in Dubai.

In early May, the cash-rich league was immediately suspended after the number of COVID-19 cases surged in India. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shited the tournament in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the September-October window.

In the first leg of IPL 2021 in India, 29 matches were completed with 27 league games yet to be played followed by the knockout stage.

“Yeah. Looking forward. Going downstairs in that team room and try to bond again and get started. Looking forward to finishing the IPL and hopefully, we can repeat what we did here last year. Good memories for us,” Pollard said in a video posted by Mumbai Indians on their official social media handles.
