The Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals defeated KL Rahul’s Punjab Kings by 2 runs in the nail-biting encounter to clinch the victory. Meanwhile, Kartik Tyagi was awarded man of the match for his exceptional performance.

Both the teams entered the tournament with several changes in the squad. On one side Punjab Kings were forced to add Nathan Ellis, Aiden Markram and Adil Rashid to the jumbo squad. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals missed their top overseas players and they included Evin Lewis, Tabraiz Shamsi, Oshane Thomas and Glenn Phillips.
