IPL 2021: KKR vs RCB- Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Predicted Playing XI Against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Royal Challengers Bangalore will resume their IPL 2021 campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium on Monday. They finished the India leg of the tournament with 5 wins in 7 matches and as a result, reached the third spot on the points table.

RCB reached the playoffs last year in UAE. The action, once again, has moved to the same venues in the United Arab Emirates and Virat Kohli and Co. would be confident of putting on a strong show.

IPL 2021: KKR vs RCB- Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Predicted Playing XI Against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

Devdutt Padikkal

Devdutt Padikkal made his debut for RCB in IPL 2020 in UAE. He impressed one and all with his strokeplay in the hot and humid conditions in UAE. He finished as the leading run-getter for the side with 473 runs. Once again, he finds himself at the same venue and Padikkal would be keen to deliver goods for the side. So far in IPL 2021, he has managed 195 runs in 6 matches at an average of 39.00.

Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli is likely to continue opening for the team alongside Devdutt Padikkal. His recent form doesn’t inspire too much confidence. He looked like a pale shadow of himself in the first half of the IPL 2021. Striking at just 121.47, Kohli amassed 198 runs in 7 matches. However, you don’t keen a player like quiet for too long.

RCB have tried a few options at number three this season. Rajat Padikar played at number three in the last game against Punjab Kings and scored 30-ball 31. With Washington Sundar not in the squad, RCB is likely to persist with Patidar at number three against KKR.

Glenn Maxwell

The inclusion of Glenn Maxwell in the team has done wonders for RCB this season. He has ensured that the team score runs at a great pace in the middle overs and is also RCB’s leading run-scorer with 223 runs in 7 matches at a strike rate of close to 150.

AB de Villiers

AB de Villiers has scored runs where all other batsmen struggled to get going. He has played some scintillating knocks this season and singlehandedly guided the team home in a couple of games. Averaging over 50, AB de Villiers has scored 207 runs in 7 matches thus far in IPL 2021.

Wanindu Hasaranga

RCB have roped in Wanindu Hasaranga as a replacement for Adam Zampa for the second leg of the tournament. Hasaranga’s array of variations and ability to bat well at lower down the order would tempt RCB to add him in the playing XI. In the slow and sluggish tracks of UAE, Hasarange is likely to come good. It will be interesting how he performs in the tournament.

Shahbaz Ahmed

Shahbaz Ahmed should bat at number six position. He has been pretty effective with the ball if not with the bat. In 5 games, he has managed to score 23 runs and picked 4 wickets. In the RCB’s last game against Punjab Kings, he scored 8 runs off 11 balls and picked 1 wicket with the ball.

Kyle Jamieson

Kyle Jamieson is one of the rising stars in world cricket. He has proved to be pretty useful for RCB in the first leg of IPL 2021. The New Zealand all-rounder has managed to fetch early wickets for the side.  Jamieson picked 2 wickets and scored 16 runs off 11 balls in RCB’s last game against Punjab Kings. Overall, he picked 9 wickets in 7 matches at an average of 24.55.

Harshal Patel

Harshal Patel has proved to be a revelation for RCB in IPL 2021. He made head turns with his impressive bowling performance in India. Patel picked as many as 17 wickets in 7 games and currently has the most number of wickets this season. It will be interesting to see how he fares with the ball in hot and humid conditions in UAE.

Mohammad Siraj

Mohammad Siraj has grown in stature by leaps and bounds as far as his cricket career is concerned. He is now a regular member of India’s Test team. Siraj will share the fast bowling duties alongside Jamieson and Patel in RCB’s playing XI. In 7 matches thus far, he has picked 6 wickets at an average of 31.83.

Yuzvendra Chahal

Yuzvendra Chahal will continue to lead the spin bowling department. His performances have taken a hit in the last couple of months in white-ball cricket. Chahar wasn’t even included in India’s T20 World Cup squad. He made forgettable returns in the first leg of the tournament, picking only 4 wickets in 7 matches at an average of close to 50.
