For Match 52 of IPL 2021, the in-form Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on the bottom-placed Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.

RCB became the third team to qualify for the playoffs with a victory over Punjab Kings in their last match. Virat Kohli’s side is now aiming for a top-two finish having acquired 16 points in 12 matches.

Kane Williamson’s team continues to languish at the bottom of the table with just 2 wins in 12 fixtures. They are coming off a loss against the Kolkata Knight Riders from three days ago.

Sunrisers, though, have a slightly favoured head-to-head record over RCB. They have defeated RCB in 10 encounters, including the 2016 final, while faced losses in 8. But in their previous meeting, it was Kohli’s outfit that prevailed in a close match in Chennai earlier this season.

RCB managed to defend their total of 149 by 6 runs as David Warner’s fifty went in vain. Glenn Maxwell was the Man of the Match for his 59 off 41 balls, while Shahbaz Ahmed took a three-wicket haul.
