Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni has ruled out the possibility of entering the Bollywood industry after he retires from cricket. Dhoni retired from international cricket on August 15, 2020.

He is currently the captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL and is expected to carry on for another season at the least. Dhoni will also be the mentor of Team India in the upcoming T20 World Cup. If it works out, he might consider entering the management area of cricket.

When asked whether he has thought about making his debut in the Bollywood film industry, Dhoni sternly denied it. He said he will stick to cricket and let the actors do their job.

You know Bollywood is not really my cup of tea. As far as advertisements are concerned, I am happy to do them. When it comes to movies, I feel it’s a very tough profession and very difficult to manage.

I would let the film stars do it because they are really good at it. I will stick to cricket. The closest I can come to acting is advertisements and nothing more than that,” Dhoni was quoted as saying by India Today.

The 40-year-old legendary skipper further stated that the ongoing season of the IPL may not be his last. Dhoni said he has plans of playing his ‘farewell’ match in his second home, Chennai.

When it comes to farewell, you can still come and see me play for CSK and that can be my farewell game. So, you will still get that opportunity to bid me farewell. Hopefully, we will come to see Chennai and play my last game over there and we can meet fans there,” Dhoni said when asked about his future.

For now, MS Dhoni has led CSK to nine wins in thirteen games in IPL 2021 season. They have qualified for the playoffs and are likely to finish in the top two.
