For the first playoff game of IPL 2021, the Qualifier 1, Delhi Capitals will take on Chennai Super Kings at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

DC finished at the top of the table after the league stage with 20 points while CSK finished second with 18 points pipping RCB, who also had the same number of points, due to a better net run rate.

Rishabh Pant’s side is coming off a last-ball loss to RCB. CSK have endured even worse time in the past week, having lost their last three games. MS Dhoni’s team, however, have immense experience of playing in the playoffs and are expected to bring their best in the crucial encounter.

On the head-to-head front, CSK have registered 15 victories over Delhi while DC have won 10 matches against the Yellow Army.

The fact that Delhi have defeated Chennai twice in the league stage this season will give them plenty of confidence coming into Qualifier 1, the winner of which will book a place in the final, while the losing side will have another shot at the final in Qualifier 2 against the winner of Eliminator between RCB and KKR.
