IPL 2021: Shikhar Dhawan To Donate INR 20 Lakhs And Individual Post-Match Awards Towards Mission Oxygen

Delhi Capitals opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has joined the list of players to contribute a significant amount towards India’s ongoing COVID-19 pandemic fight. Shikhar Dhawan has vowed to donate INR 20 lakhs towards mission oxygen to help fund the requirement of oxygen. The left-handed opening batsman acknowledged the challenging times the people of India are going through and wants to give all the support he could.
India has been battling a devastating wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the nation registering more than 300000 cases for the last few days. The number of fatalities have been rising alarmingly as well. Nevertheless, the last several weeks have also witnessed many nations coming to India’s aid along with cricketers, including Pat Cummins, Jaydev Unadkat, Sreevats Goswami, and Sachin Tendulkar making monetary donations too.

Shikhar Dhawan thanked the supporters for all the incredible love and support, for which he expressed his gratefulness. Hence, he wants to give it back to them now, revealing he would donate INR 20 lakhs. The 34-year old also promised to contribute all the money he would earn from the post-match performance awards towards Mission Oxygen.
