The 55th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) commenced at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi and Mumbai won the match by 42 runs but were unable to make it into the playoffs.

Mumbai Indians knew the equation that they need to win the game by the margin of 171 runs to overtake the net run rate of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and make it into the playoffs. So batting first they showed extremely aggressive intent, Openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan had an exceptional start and they managed to add 80 runs for the first wicket.

After that Hardik Pandya was sent to bat at number 3 and he played some good strokes but got out. Also, Ishan Kishan lost his wicket against Umran Malik after smashing 84 runs off 32.

After a mini batting failure, Suryakumar Yadav carried forward the inning and smashed outstanding 82 runs off 40 balls and Mumbai Indians posted 235/9.

Chasing the target Mumbai Indians needed some quick wickets but they failed and Sunrisers Hyderabad openers Abhishek Sharma and Jason Roy looked amazing out in middle. After Roy got out Captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Manish Pandey joined forces with Abhishek Sharma. Notably, Manish Pandey was named as the skipper of the side after Kane Williamson and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were out due to a niggle.

After losing back-to-back wickets Manish Pandey and Priyam Garg took the responsibility to carry forward the innings and they looked in good touch.

In the end, Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to score 193 runs at the loss of 8 wickets and they finished Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 at the bottom of the table. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians finished at the 5th spot.

The 56th and last Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 between Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals commenced at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday, October 8.

The number one ranked team Delhi Capitals were entering the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore with a comfortable win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the last match. However, Royal Challengers Bangalore were defeated by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their last Indian Premier League (IPL) encounter.

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and elected to field first and they made no changes in the playing XI and fielded the same lineup. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals also made no changes in the lineup.

Opening the innings Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw looked good and they smashed 10 runs each in the first 2 overs.

Meanwhile, They managed to add 55 runs in powerplay overs with Prithvi Shaw contributing 24 off 17 and Shikhar Dhawan scoring 27 off 20. However, After that the Delhi Capitals opener were in no mood to stop the carnage and they kept going aggressive against the Royal Challengers Bangalore bowling unit.

Virat Kohli then decided to bring the purple cap holder Harshal Patel in the attack and he delivered once again by deceiving Shikhar Dhawan with his slower delivery. Dhawan got out after scoring 43 off 35. Also, Prithvi Shaw was sent back to the dugout by Yuzvendra Chahal at the score of 48.

The former and present captain of Delhi Capitals joined forces but were unable to contribute big runs for the team. Shreyas Iyer scored 18 and Rishabh Pant scored only 10 runs. At the end with the help of Shimron Hetmyer’s quick runs, Delhi Capitals posted 164 runs on the board.

Chasing the target Royal Challengers Bangalore were off to an extremely poor start as they lost the wicket of Devdutt Padikkal in the 1st over and Virat Kohli got out after scoring only 4 runs. Also, AB De Villiers was dismissed by Axar Patel in the 10 over. He only managed to score 26 runs off 26 balls.

However, Srikar Bharat played an excellent inning and smashed a half-century. Also, Glenn Maxwell once again batted very well and contributed crucial runs for the team.

In the end, Royal Challengers Bangalore needed 15 runs from 6 balls and Srikar Bharat smashed a six in the last ball to help Royal Challengers Bangalore win the game by 7 wickets.
