Eoin Morgan is the skipper of Kolkata Knight Riders. After a miserable show in the first leg of IPL 2021, the team bounced back in the UAE leg to find a place among the top 4 teams. However, Eoin Morgan was often criticized for his wrong and ineffective decisions as a skipper.

The franchise might seek to find a  new skipper in the next season and hence release the England player from the team. After his poor batting show in IPL 2021, Eoin Morgan might find it difficult to attract a buyer in IPL 2022 mega auction. In 13 innings in IPL 2021, the right-handed batsman scored 124 runs at an average of just 12.40 and failed to hit even a single half-century.
