The youngsters have come up through the ranks to the IPL at a very young age and have found success at the best of stages due to the immense competition between players. The IPL has been among the best franchise tournaments going around in the world and the reason has been the quality of the players that have been participating.

The IPL has allowed Indian youngsters to make a mark in world cricket and show their skills through the best platform available. The composure at IPL has also benefited to pick players for the nation and it was evident in the selections of Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav recently. Riyan Parag – 17 Years, 175 Days

Riyan Parag was among the Indian U-19 winning squad in 2018 at the age of 16 and broke into the IPL as Rajasthan Royals picked him up in the IPL Auction 2019. He is a useful player in the middle over and can hit some lusty blows as he is strongly built. He has been part of the Assam in the domestic circuit and has done well.

He played in the middle order for Royals and has taken on the responsibility to finish off games for Royals in the inexperienced middle order. His maturity has been very impressive so far and he remains the youngest batsman in IPL history to hit a half-century in 17 years and 175 days.

Sanju Samson – 18 Years, 169 Days

Sanju Samson was first seen in the IPL as a teenager at the age of 18 playing for the Rajasthan Royals. He was part of the Kolkata franchise in 2012 but did not get a game and he was a young sensation talked about highly in the domestic circuit. He had a lot of natural talent and was considered to be the next big thing in India.

He made his first IPL fifty at the age of 18 years and 169 days which remained the youngest for a long time until Riyan Parag broke the record. His impressive stint in the IPL earned him an Indian Cap but he couldn’t utilize the opportunity effectively and had to be dropped from the Indian T20 squad.

Prithvi Shaw first came into the scene with a fine century in the Ranji Trophy final at the age of 15 and he captained the Indian U-19 squad to victory in 2018. He was picked up in the 2018 auction by the Delhi Capitals franchise and made his debut fifty in just 18 years and 169 days.

He has been a consistent performer for Delhi at the top of the order and has made a lot of valuable performances for the franchises. He is third on the list of youngest batsmen to score a half-century. He recently captained Mumbai to victory in the recent Vijay Hazare Trophy and finished as the top run-scorer in the tournament.

Rishabh Pant – 18 Years, 212 Days

Rishabh Pant came through the U-19 WorldCup squad in 2016, and he was expected to be a future star in making. He indeed was successful and proved to be a sensation in the tournament over the last three years. He is fourth in the list of youngest to score a half-century in IPL history.

Pant has been in prime form for India in the last 6 months and has been touted as the next MS Dhoni for India. He has had an incredible start to his Test career and has carried the form into limited-overs cricket. He was named as the captain of the Delhi franchise in the absence of injured Shreyas Iyer for the upcoming season.
