KKR vs RR: Weather Forecast And Pitch Report of Sharjah Cricket Stadium- IPL 2021 Match 54. The 54th match of IPL 2021 sees Kolkata Knight Riders take on Rajasthan Royals on Thursday at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Kolkata Knight Riders will be playing the last game of their league stage and would be keen to showcase their best performance on Thursday.

Their hopes of making the playoffs haven’t been hampered yet. They are very much in contention for a top-four finish. But for that, they need to win against RR by a big margin and then hope MI lose their last game. Nevertheless, their focus right now would only be on exhibiting a sensational all-around performance against Rajasthan Royals.

Kolkata Knight Royals wouldn’t be short of confidence, given how they have played in the second leg of IPL 2021. Despite missing the services of Andre Russell and Lockie Ferguson, they beat SRH in their last game by 6 wickets. Shakib Al-Hasan replaced Tim Siefert and it reaped rewards.

He bowled at great areas and didn’t allow the batsmen to score freely. Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy too bowled brilliantly as the trio combined to concede only 58 runs in the 12 overs and pick three wickets. Shivam Mavi and Tim Southee also bowled brilliantly in the power play overs as both of them picked two wickets each.

Thanks to their collective bowling effort, SRH could only manage to score 115 runs in the first innings. Kolkata Knight Riders made a meal of that chase after losing their first two wickets inside seven overs. Nitish Rana also struggled in the middle for his 33-ball 25.

However, Shubman Gill upped the ante in the latter half of the innings and helped the team chase down the score with two balls to spare. Gill scored a match-winning 57 off 51 balls, including 10 fours. Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, are coming off an embarrassing 8-wicket defeat against Mumbai Indians.

Rajasthan Royals looked found it tough to adjust to the slow and sluggish track of Sharjah. Mumbai seamers consistently hit the hard lengths and used their mix-ups quite well. None of the batsmen could play a big knock for the Royals as they could only manage to score 90 runs in the first innings.

SRH accounted for the wickets of Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav in the fourth and sixth over of the second innings to bring some hope of a comeback. However, Ishan Kishan’s sensational 25-ball half-century dashed all of it as MI chased down the score in just 8.2 overs.

The 54th match of the IPL 2021 is scheduled to be played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals on Thursday at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Unlike previous seasons, the pitch has behaved a lot differently this year. The deck has been really slow and the ball isn’t coming on nicely to the bat.

Due to the slowness of the surface, the batsmen are facing difficulty in making great connections. Reaching the 150-run mark is taking a lot of effort from the batsmen.

Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians played the last game held at Sharjah. MI fast bowlers consistently hit the hard lengths and used the cutters to great effect and, as a result of that, SRH only managed to score 90 runs in the first innings.

Average 1st Inns scores 149
Average 2nd Inns scores 131

Sharjah is expected to be hot and humid. The conditions here should suggest that there is no possibility of rain. One could expect a good game of cricket. The average temperature will hover around 42-degree Celsius.
