One of the greatest football coaches and Manchester City’s Manager, Pep Guardiola thanked Virat Kohli for gifting him a Royal Challengers Bangalore jersey. Both Pep Guardiola and Virat Kohli are linked through their association with PUMA.

Pep Guardiola, who has coached Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City to several silverware, also expressed his desire to learn the rules of cricket and asked the RCB skipper to don his Manchester City as well.

“It’s time to finally learn cricket’s rules. Thanks to my friend @virat.kohli for the shirt. Now is your turn to use your Man City shirt @pumaindia @pumafootball #PUMAxRCB,” Guardiola captioned his Instagram post in which he is holding a RCB jersey.

Last year, the Indian cricket team captain and the 2-time Champions League-winning coach, during an Instagram live session organized by PUMA, engaged in an exciting conversation about their love for football.

RCB led by Virat Kohli climbs to the top of the points table again after making 4 out of 4

Pep Guardiola’s post came after Virat Kohli led RCB to their fourth victory of the season in as many games. Devdutt Padikkal smashed his maiden IPL ton – his innings of 101* off 52 balls was laced with 11 fours and 6 sixes; on the other end, the skipper played a second fiddle to notch up his 40th IPL fifty, en route he went past 6000 IPL runs, becoming the first batsman ever to do in the history of the competition.

RCB chased down a par target of 178, which the Royals tasked them with after Shivam Dube, Riyan Parag, and Rahul Teatia bailed them out from a precarious position.

Mohammed Siraj continued to breathe fire with the new ball, castling Royals’ talisman batsman, Jos Buttler. Captain Sanju Samson, who hasn’t made any notable score after his ton in the first game, continued to remain inconsistent in the IPL as he got out softly to Washington Sundar leaving the side reeling at 43/4.

With the victory on Thursday, Virat Kohli’s team displaced the Chennai Super Kings from the top of the table and remains the only unbeaten side in the tournament hitherto. They take on MS Dhoni’s eleven on Sunday afternoon.
