Openers Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal smacked great knocks of 52 and 70 respectively. CSK made a good comeback in the second half by picking enough wickets. In the end, RCB reached 156-6.

CSK’s chase can be defined as a comfortable one. With RCB bowlers finding it difficult to pick wickets at the right time, the MS Dhoni-led team won the match in 18.1 overs. Ruturaj Gaikwad (38) and Faf du Plessis (31) gave a good start in batting, making a 71-run stand.

Later, Ambati Rayudu scored 32 runs. In the last 5 overs, CSK just needed 32 runs which was quite an easy task for Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni. CSK eventually won the match by 6 wickets.
