The IPL cameraman spotted a beautiful woman wearing the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) jersey during KKR’s game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) in Dubai on Sunday. Eoin Morgan’s team registered a 6-wicket win over Kane Williamson’s side to move closer to the playoffs by chasing down the target of 116.
KKR have now won 4 out of their 6 matches in the UAE leg this season and have placed the right foot in the direction to finish in the top 4. On the other hand, SRH suffered their 10th loss of the season in 12 matches and were the first team to be eliminated from the playoffs race earlier.
Shubman Gill starred in the chase scoring 57 runs off 51 balls, while it was the spin trio of Varun Chakravarthy, Shakib Al Hasan, and Sunil Narine who tied up SRH’s batters.
Revealed: Who was the woman spotted in KKR jersey:
Well, to raise the curtains: the pretty woman spotted in Kolkata Knight Riders jersey and cheering for the team was Umme Ahmed Shishir, the wife of Shakib Al Hasan. Shishir was spotted along with her daughter sitting in the stands and cheering for her husband’s team. Shishir is a Bangladeshi model and software engineer; the duo got married in 2012. She has been a firm supporter of her husband, and has often taken to social media to celebrate his victories and encourage on his losses.
On Sunday, the Bangladeshi all-rounder was included in the eleven and played a key role to KKR’s victory. Shakib ran out Kane Williamson and took the wicket of Abhishek Sharma; he returned with bowling figures of 1/20 in his quota of 4 overs, doing a brilliant job in filling the boots of the injured Andre Russell.
With this win, KKR now have 12 points in 13 games and are sitting fourth on the points table. Their last league stage match is against Rajasthan Royals on Thursday. RR have acquired 10 points and have two games left – versus KKR and Mumbai Indians.
Mumbai also have 10 points with two matches in hand – against SRH and RR. Punjab Kings, who lost to RCB earlier in the day, have 10 points as well but with a single game to play. Three teams – CSK, DC, and RCB – have already qualified and the battle for the remaining playoff berth is likely to go down till the last day of the league stage.
