Punjab Kings all-rounder Moises Henriques turned out to be their sixth casualty after choosing to bat against the SunRisers Hyderabad in the ongoing clash in Chennai. Moises Henriques did a decent job compared to most Punjab Kings’ batsmen; however, he could not bat deep and give his side a good score to defend. It was Abhishek Sharma’s second wicket as Jonny Bairstow affected a stumping.

The dismissal occurred in the 14th over when David Warner brought back Abhishek Sharma to bowl out. Abhishek Sharma went for a six in the ball and conceded a single; however, the third ball resulted in a wicket. Moises Henriques, who had reached 14 by then, stepped down, but he was beaten by the flight as Jonny Bairstow had enough time to gather the ball and dislodge the stumps. It was also Sharma’s second wicket as he earlier dismissed Deepak Hooda.

Before Henriques departed, Punjab Kings had lost their core batsmen in KL Rahul, Chris Gayle, Mayank Agarwal, Nicholas Pooran, and Deepak Hooda without compelling scores. Ahead of a crucial tie for both sides, SunRisers and Punjab both carried out several changes. Punjab decided to bring in Moises Henriques and Fabian Allen for pace bowlers Jhye Richardson and Riley Meredith, while Jalaj Saxena made way for Murugan Ashwin. The Orange Army drafted Kane Williamson for Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Kedar Jadhav for Manish Pandey, and Siddharth Kaul for Abdul Samad.
