Punjab Kings have suffered their fourth casualty in their prevailing encounter against the Kolkata Knight Riders in Ahmedabad as Sunil Narine joined the wickets column. Nevertheless, the credit for Sunil Narine’s wicket goes to Rahul Tripathi, who took a fine catch running in from deep mid-wicket. Moreover, it was Mayank Agarwal, the set batsman, who departed.

Mayank Agarwal’s dismissal occurred in the 12th over when Sunil Narine bowled a marginal short delivery. The right-handed batsman looked to have hit it well; however, Rahul Tripathi made an outstanding run for it and took the catch. Initially, it seemed like Tripathi might drop the ball, but he clung on to it and rolled over to complete it.

Agarwal anchored the innings well before falling for 31 off 34 deliveries, laced with one four and two sixes. Before him, the batsmen to fall were KL Rahul, Chris Gayle, and Deepak Hooda – all of whom perished without making telling contributions. Kolkata Knight Riders, who elected to bowl first, fielded an unchanged side ahead of a crucial encounter. On the other hand, Punjab Kings made one change by drafting Chris Jordan for Fabian Allen. Kolkata has won only one game out of five thus far in IPL 2021, while Punjab Kings have managed two victories.
