It seems as if Punjab Kings leggie Ravi Bishnoi has become a lucky charm for them. After delivering a match-winning spell against the Mumbai Indians in his first match of IPL 2021, Ravi Bishnoi took a stunning catch in the ongoing game against Kolkata Knight Riders in Ahmedabad. It helped Punjab Kings to get rid of Sunil Narine in defense of 123.

Sunil Narine’s dismissal took place in the third over when Punjab Kings smelt blood, having dismissed Kolkata Knight Riders’ openers. Narine, who came at number four, pulled Arshdeep Singh’s back of a length delivery to deep mid-wicket. It initially seemed like it would go the distance or, if not even that, will likely not land in any fielder’s hands. But Ravi Bishnoi’s efforts paid off as he ran a long way to take a diving catch. Narine perished for a duck, lasting four balls.

The youngster was unstoppable after taking the catch and it gave Punjab Kings a massive opening. Punjab Kings did not put on an inspiring batting performance, as only Mayank Agarwal and Chris Jordan managed to cross 30. Prasidh Krishna was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with figures of 4-0-30-3 to restrict the opposition to 123 only. The two-time champions would still fancy the chances of their second win this year.
